KLP Favorite Find: Mission Bowling Club

I put my nerd hat on again. Maybe this isn’t something I should openly admit, but I think I have a secret love for bowling. The trouble with conventional bowling is, however, that it usually takes place in a dingy and uninspired locale with terrible food and drinks. Leave it to San Francisco to come up with a creative solution: Mission Bowling Club.

So, this month’s KLP Favorite Find is dedicated to an old time sport with a new twist. I was happy to take my camera along so I might share this San Francisco gem with you.

There were several things I liked about this experience. Not only is there a fun and upscale décor but they also serve super delicious food. When you go, you should try their fried chicken appetizer. Delicious!

It’s a great place for some 21+ kind of fun as they also serve some unique high quality cocktails and beer. It’s the kind of thing that I can see recommending to my online dating photo clients for their first dates in San Francisco or my corporate photography clients who want to bond with colleagues or blow off some steam after a hard day in the office. This place is colorful, lively and a great context in which to meet new people since everyone hangs out in the bar after their game.

But perhaps my favorite part was the enthusiastic encouragement. I mean who doesn’t love a plethora of high fives?! What a great way to end a day or a week.
